I do not have “tv”. Zero tv channels come in on my television, and I like it. I however love cooking shows, thank god for Hulu right?! Lately my husband and I have been on a Hell’s Kitchen kick. Gordon Ramsay is by far my favorite tv chef! His intensity, passion and talent totally awe me. I’m such a passive person I admire those who have… Uh…. Gumption. I’m not a fan of his foul mouth but no one is perfect right?
Making dinner tonight I was cracking up when I realized what I was cooking for dinner was evidence Gordon Ramsay has been part of my life. Risotto- typical Gordon dish. Hell’s Kitchen also cooks up a lot of fabulous pan seared fish. Cooking the risotto, steamed asparagus and halibut I giggled and was thankful Gordon wasn’t standing over me calling my food a dogs dinner or yelling it was stone cold or any of the many funny disses Gordon screams at his chefs.
I’m very thankful also that I worked out TWICE today! That risotto had more Parmesan in it than I would like to admit. My husband and I are planning a Mexico vacation in just over a month and I am really trying to get back in shape! {sigh} I’m so excited.
That’s part of the reason I’ve neglected my blog lately. When I’m trying to lose weight I don’t cook near as much.
Felt good to crank the radio, kick my kids outside with their dad to shovel snow and wiz around the kitchen stirring, searing and seasoning. I think it’s time to pour a glassĀ of crown royal and jump in my hot tub. …It’s good for digestion right? {wink}

I’m not posting the recipe because there really is no need.
All I did was cook risotto, add some Parmesan, parsley, coriander, salt and pepper. Then I seared the halibut in butter and seasoned. And steamed asparagus, which was frozen because asparagus is super expensive right now.
Easy.
DONE
(Any Gordon Ramsay fan knows what that done is about haha)
oooo from Alaska to Mexico?? Yay! That sounds awesome! I’m trying to do the weight loss thing too, so I know what you mean about less cooking!
